EPP Absorbers — Lightweight, Fire-Safe, High-Performance.

Polypropylene and polystyrene-based absorbers engineered for the next generation of EMC, microwave, and millimeter-wave chambers. Lighter, safer, and easier to install than legacy foam absorbers.

Expanded polypropylene (EPP) and polystyrene-based absorbers are replacing traditional carbon-loaded urethane foam in modern test chambers. They offer superior fire resistance (UL 94 V-0 typical), lower weight, lower particle shedding, and broadband absorption performance comparable to or better than legacy materials.

The Product Range

Polypropylene Hybrid EMC Absorber

30 MHz – 40 GHz combined performance. Replaces ferrite + pyramidal stack.

Polypropylene Microwave Absorber

1 GHz – 18 GHz, pyramidal geometry, lightweight install.

Polypropylene Millimeter Wave Absorber

18 GHz – 110 GHz, fine-pitch pyramid for 5G FR2, automotive radar.

Polystyrene Hybrid Absorber

Cost-optimized hybrid for pre-compliance and educational labs.

Common Across All Models

Fire safety: UL 94 V-0 typical

Weight: 30–50% lighter than urethane equivalents

Cleanliness: minimal particle shedding (clean room compatible)

Mechanical durability: rigid structure resists handling damage

Broadband performance: hybrid construction covers EMC + microwave in one stack
